Bourn Quarter is a business park in West Cambridge, specialising in R&D, life sciences, and warehousing. We supported Readie Construction Limited with the project, creating bespoke joinery in our Kent workshop.
As sustainability is at the heart of Bourn Quarter’s values, we used the highest-quality sustainable wood on this project, including American white oak and European oak.
Our team created a wide range of wooden fittings in line with the requirements of the site architects, including:
• High-impact laminated door sets with white oak frames and black ironmongery. The doors had a shadow gap to provide a modern, minimalist feel
• White oak stair treads, balustrades, and hardwood flooring
• Oak handrails on the steel bridges linking the buildings
• Wooden cladding in the multilevel car park
• A stunning feature fence featuring the name of the business park
