Why we’re the fire door installation specialists of choice

A fire door is your first line of defence in a fire, preventing it from spreading and ensuring that everyone in your building has time to escape. Working with a company that supplies the highest quality doors and installs them in line with government regulations is critical.

Our team of installers is BM TRADA Q-MARK and Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) accredited, meaning they’ve been independently assessed and approved.

We offer a wide range of compliant fire doors in styles to suit every building. All our fire doors are manufactured in the UK, meaning a quick and reliable turnaround time and a low carbon footprint.

FAQs

You don’t need formal qualifications or accreditations to install a fire door. However, we recommend using an accredited fire door installer, as they will ensure your fire door is safe and offers protection in an emergency.

All our fire door installers are BM TRADA Q-MARK accredited. We are also Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) approved, meaning we are trained in inspecting existing fire doors.

It depends on the thickness of the door frame. A fire door should be a minimum of 44mm thick, while most standard door frames are between 35mm and 40mm. In this situation, you must replace the door frame to accommodate the new fire door.

A fire door installation specialist, like the team at L&S Carpentry Limited, can check your door frames and advise the best course of action.
